10 Nashville Sandwiches You Have To Try Before You Die
A good, stuffed full and fresh bread-based sandwich is the epitome of a satisfying meal. There’s just something about it, bursting with spices and meat (maybe), topped with cheese. Since Nashville is rapidly becoming quite the foodie town, we found ten places and delicious sandwich options that are sure to whet your whistle. Ready to explore Music City?

SLOCO is proud to serve both locally sourced ingredients and offer a sustainable business method that impacts the Nashville community. Buy a sandwich with a heart at this 12South establishment. We're big fans of the curried chicken sammie, but you may just find a favorite of your own. The fresh and local ingredients are sure to build out a sandwich to remember. (2905 12th Ave S, Ste 104)

Noshville is the classic old school diner, serving up calorie-heavy menu items that are sure to soothe the soul. New York staples infiltrate their extensive menu, and there's even a location in the airport! We recommend the classic (and delicious!) tuna melt. (4014 Hillsboro Circle)

The sandwich shown here is a combination of the East Nasty and the Princess, and it looks downright delectable, wouldn't you say? The bright and airy Biscuit Love space in The Gulch has become a must for weekend brunch, but we have to say - come early. You may find yourself waiting in the cold for a minute, salivating over your perfect biscuits and gravy. Their skillet breakfasts are fabulous, too! (316 11th Ave S)

The Moto Biscuit at Barista Parlor is one of the most easily customizable and melt-in-your-mouth breakfast sandwiches that you'll find in the city. Everything is locally sourced and the biscuits are made in house, which means your gooey cheese and crunchy bacon taste all the more better. There are various locations in Nashville, but we'd recommend the classic Barista Parlor East. (519 Gallatin Ave)

Hungry for a reuben sandwich? You'll find the best one in the city at Porter Road Butcher. Fashioned as the old-school neighborhood butcher shop, you'll get a sandwich with a side of southern hospitality, and you can pick up a cut for Friday night dinner while you're at it. (501 Gallatin Ave)

Dozen Bakery is known for stocking ALL of our favorite coffee shops in Nashville with delectable baked goods (um, HELLO perfect blueberry muffin!), but if you make your way to their actual storefront in Wedgwood-Houston you can indulge in a perfect loaf of bread and a lunch to remember. We're big fans of the craft salami, completely compiled by you! (516 Hagan St #103)

There's just something about a fried catfish sandwich, and Cochon Butcher does it right. They take their spin from New Orleans and settle it with a Nashville flair for fried and battered, giving you a menu chock-full of delicious lunch and dinner plates. Keep in mind, they serve mostly pork dishes, but their outdoor space is simply superb for a summertime lunch with friends. (1120 4th Ave N #101)

Here's the thing: at the Grilled Cheeserie, the best kind of sandwich is the one you make yourself. Here you can see a gluten-free sandwich melt, lovingly crafted to fit a customers wildly unique palate. That's the beauty of this lovely food truck + storefront combo - you get delicious, every time. We do love the French Onion sandwich, though! (2003 Belcourt Avenue)

We would recommend the delicious angus beef steak & cheese for a downtown run to Rae's, a local favorite for Nashville businessmen. All hot sandwiches are served New Orleans style, fixed up with a bit of Nashville pride and stuffed full of meat and cheese. Sounds like this lunch will carry you through tomorrow! (501 Union St)

If you hear about Mitchell's Deli in East Nashville, most folks are going to tell you to get the turkey, avocado and bacon. But us? We're recommending the Asian flank steak sandwich, a perfect blend of spices and delicately cured meat that will transport you right out of the south. It's easy to do basic right - but this kind of sandwich? Worth the trip. (1306 McGavock Pike)
