The age of the drive-in movie theater and fast food restaurant have long since passed, the excitement of eating in the car has given way to drive-THROUGH eating, and it seems as if the fun of waiting in the car and gaining a meal in a few short minutes has mellowed with time. If you live in Tennessee though, you don’t simply have to relegate your old fashioned experiences to a Sonic fast food restaurant, because The Hop ’50s Drive-In is doing its best to subvert expectations and keep culinary nostalgia alive. And in our opinion, they’re doing a pretty phenomenal job.
