The River Campground In Washington Where You’ll Have An Unforgettable Floating Adventure

Tolt MacDonald Park & Campground offers a serene camping experience by the river with various amenities and activities.

Whether you prefer to fall asleep by the ocean or stare at the stars above a shimmering lake, there's something special about camping by the water. And if you'd love to set up camp next to the unmistakable sounds of a river, reserve a spot at the Tolt MacDonald Park & Campground this year. While this small campground isn't as well-known as the larger sites in the area, it's a delightful place to spend some time in nature.

Located in Carnation at the confluence of the Snoqualmie and Tolt Rivers in the picturesque Snoqualmie Valley, the Tolt MacDonald Park & Campground is a true hidden gem.

The 574-acre park offers spots for both RV and tent camping, or you can stay in one of the six onsite yurts. But don't expect big crowds -- there are just 16 RV sites and 22 sites reserved for tents.

You'll notice the 500-foot suspension foot bridge over the Snoqualmie River, a perfect spot for photographs.

There are around 12 miles of forested and riverside hiking trails near the bridge.

The camping here is rustic, but the campground has everything you'll need for a great stay.

Each campsite has a fire ring and a picnic table, and the RV sites have hook ups for water and electricity.

The yurts come equipped with two double futons, a twin bed, heat, and electricity.

These sites are walk-in only, so you'll have to cross the suspension bridge to reach them.

The campground is locally known for two events, the Timber! Outdoor Music Festival, and Beat the Blerch, an annual running event created by Seattle cartoonist Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal).

But when neither of those events are happening, this place is pretty relaxing.

Of course, the best part of staying at this campground is definitely its close proximity to the river.

If you're a fan of tubing, you can hop in anytime and go for a float.

This is a shallow area with slow-moving waters, so it's great for the 'tubing timid.'

That being said, the Snoqualmie River is one of the top tubing rivers in Washington, so you won't have to go far for a more exhilarating adventure.

What could be better than floating the day away, warming up by the fire after dark, and falling asleep to the sounds of the river?

This place is perfect for a nature lovers' summer escape.
