The Virginia Airbnb Where You Can Hear Rushing Falls From Your Front Door

Wake to the sound of a rushing waterfall when you stay a few nights at this gorgeous creekside Airbnb in the Virginia mountains.

One of the best parts about living in Virginia is access to incredible natural wonders. Typically, these attractions take a bit of work to get to, whether that means a winding road or a challenging hiking trail. But this isn't always the case. Some are waiting right outside our door, and in the case of Falling Waters A-Frame at Beaverdam Falls, we mean that quite literally! Come with us as we explore this delightful Airbnb glampsite just steps away from a rushing waterfall.

Epic Waterfall Trails in Virginia

alt

Since we're on the topic of waterfalls, let's quickly take a look at some of the best waterfall trails in Virginia, many of which aren't too far from today's feature accommodation. The trail to Crabtree Falls is among the most famous. It leads you past the tallest set of waterfalls east of the Mississippi River! I can share from experience that hiking up Crabtree Falls is an unforgettable adventure. As you climb a series of steps up alongside the waterfall, you'll enjoy the sound of rushing water along the way.

Cascade Falls Trail is another favorite. This trek covers nearly four miles and leads to one of the most picturesque waterfalls in the state. Finally, Falling Spring Falls might just be the most mesmerizing waterfall in Virginia. There's actually no hiking required—instead, just park your car and walk a few feet to the viewing platform. It's spectacular!

What Makes This Stay Special

Now back to our Airbnb. The Falling Waters A-Frame is just a short drive from Falling Spring Falls, but that's not the closest waterfall to this charming property! That's right—when you opt for a stay inside this rustic A-frame cabin, perfect for just two guests, you'll be able to see a spectacular waterfall right from the front door. It's built near Sweet Springs Creek, offering guests a front-row seat to the sights and sounds of these beautiful cascades.

There are a few things to note about the property. First of all, it's categorized as glamping, meaning it may not have all the amenities of your typical Airbnb. There is no running water or electricity, but there are two portable toilets on site. The communal bathroom space is open 24 hours a day. Lastly, although there is no electricity, the house is heated with a propane heater, two of which are provided to guests.

But you won't totally be roughing it, thanks to delightful amenities like a queen bed with a memory foam mattress, a fire pit, a charcoal grill, and a butane burner with a water/coffee kettle. Of course, the best amenity of all is the setting. Take it from a recent traveler, who shared the following glowing review:

"This very well may be the most unique place to glamp in Virginia. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the falls crashing below was so peaceful, and floating in the pools below the falls was next-level magical. We felt like we were transported into a Fern Gully-esque fairytale. All of the essentials needed for cooking over the campfire were provided, and the bed was so comfortable. Definitely a 10/10 glamping experience."
