There are many wonderful reasons to visit Utah, several of which center around its stunning, diverse landscapes and five national parks. If you plan on visiting Utah's national parks, whether it's Zion, Arches, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, or Canyonlands, staying close by is almost necessary; that way, you can maximize your time exploring each one.

Here are some of the most beautiful nature-focused hotels you can stay at, one near each of Utah's Mighty Five national parks:

Red Cliffs Lodge Zion, Near Zion National Park

With its location just a mile from the entrance to Zion National Park in the heart of Springdale, Red Cliffs Lodge Zion is a convenient choice. Not only that, but its nature-inspired design and red rock views create an almost immersive experience with nature. I was lucky enough to stay at this stylish hotel recently and loved the fact that I could walk down the street or take a shuttle to Zion's Springdale entrance. The hotel also has an on-site restaurant and bar called Scout, a small market, a spacious fitness center, event space, and an outdoor pool with a hot tub and lounge area. It's also pet-friendly if you're bringing your pup along.

The hotel's design brings some of the outdoors inside, with a nature, camping, and hiking theme evident throughout. With wood accents, muted natural colors, and animal and nature decor, staying at Red Cliffs Lodge Zion made me feel at one with the peaceful natural surroundings.

Under Canvas Bryce Canyon, Near Bryce Canyon National Park

Just 14 miles from Bryce Canyon National Park is the ultimate glamping adventure. Under Canvas Bryce Canyon provides various tent options, such as the Suite, Stargazer, and Deluxe, which all have private bathrooms. If you prefer the Safari Tent option, there's no private bathroom; instead, you'll use the bathhouse.

Are you planning on taking kids with you? Reserving a Kids' Tent that can sleep two is a wonderful option. These tents have two twin beds, outside seating, and are next to the main tent. Under Canvas is one of the best accommodation options near Bryce Canyon National Park and its surreal landscape of hoodoos and opportunities for outdoor adventure.

Hoodoo Moab, Curio Collection by Hilton, Near Arches National Park

Located a mere 5.5 miles from the red rock landscape Arches National Park is known for, Hoodoo Moab, Curio Collection by Hilton is your best option for comfortable accommodations and amenities, including a full-service spa, outdoor pool, fitness center, and on-site restaurant. Incorporating the surrounding Western landscape into its design, there's no doubt how close you are to one of Utah's revered national parks. With natural tones, nature-themed decor, and stunning views, this hotel is as serene as its neighbor, Arches National Park.

Aarchway Inn, Near Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park

A half-hour drive from Aarchway Inn will get you to Canyonlands National Park, the largest yet least-visited of Utah's national parks. Considering its beguiling landscape, it's hard to imagine that only 400,000 people visit each year. However, it is rather remote and has some hard-to-access areas. Still, it's worth a visit. The hotel is also very close to Arches National Park (2 miles away, to be exact), so its location in Moab is very convenient.

Aarchway Inn is a resort hotel with 97 rooms and caters to families and adventurers alike. Set on the Colorado River and surrounded by red rocks and buttes, you can't beat the views. Among the amenities here are fire pits, a pool, a spa, and stargazing programs, and you can even book a ziplining adventure or hiking tour at either national park through the hotel. If you plan to visit Arches or Canyonlands National Parks (or both), consider booking a room at the Aarchway Inn in Moab.

Capitol Reef Resort, Near Capitol Reef National Park

Capitol Reef Resort, along with Canyonlands, is one of Utah's most underrated national parks. While it sees an average of 1.4 million visitors yearly, it still doesn't get the crowds that Zion and Bryce Canyon do. If uncrowded is enticing to you, visiting Capitol Reef National Park should go to the top of your Utah bucket list. Capitol Reef Resort is only 1.4 miles from the park's entrance, offering nature-focused accommodations close to the park.

Capitol Reef Resort offers several accommodation types, including glamping in Conestoga Wagons and teepees. Each wagon can sleep up to six guests and has a separate private bathroom, while each teepee is 250 square feet, can accommodate up to two adults and one child, and has a private detached bathroom. These glamping options are only available seasonally between late May and mid-October. Several cabin options and rooms are also available if you prefer more luxury. These can be booked year-round.

Resort amenities include a fully-equipped fitness center, an outdoor hot tub, and a seasonal pool, all with views of the surrounding red rocks. If you're visiting Capitol Reef, I don't think you'll want to stay elsewhere!

With stunning landscapes of desert, rock formations, and canyons, Utah's national parks are awe-inspiring, to say the least. With endless ways to enjoy the great outdoors, staying somewhere close to one of the Mighty Five is a must. Which of these nature-inspired hotels in Utah will you book first?
