This Pretty Lakeside Campground In Utah Is Pure Paradise

Utah's Mirror Lake Scenic Byway is one of the most beautiful spots in the Beehive State. It's the perfect place to go when you want to surround yourself with natural beauty, go fishing, hiking, backpacking, or camping. The Lilly Lake Campground here is nestled on a tiny lake, surrounded by fragrant pines. It's pure paradise, and you'll definitely want to check it out!

All along the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway, you'll find cold, clear, alpine lakes, rugged mountain peaks, and thick forests.

It's truly one of Utah's most spectacular scenic places.

Right off the highway, you'll find the Lilly Lake Campground. It's about 26 miles from the town of Kamas.

Lilly Lake is nestled right next to Teapot Lake. It is right across the highway from the much larger Lost Lake and easy and fast to get to, as it is only about a 40-mile drive from Salt Lake City.

This tiny lake is often covered with lilies, which is how it got its name.

Motorized boats are not allowed here, so it's a quiet, peaceful little spot to get away from it all.

Staying here is on a first-come, first-served basis — no reservations allowed.

But one of the draws of this beautiful lakeside campground in Utah is that it is situated in a loop, and you'll find just 14 campsites here.

The sites don't have hookups, but they do offer fire pits, picnic tables, and a flat space to pitch your tent.

Though it's right off the highway, this little lakeside campground is surprisingly quiet and peaceful.

The sunsets up here are also spectacular!

After a long day of fishing, hiking, and exploring, enjoy a campfire and some s'mores, tell some campfire stories, then snuggle into your tent for the night.

No matter the time of the day, Utah's Lilly Lake Campground is a little oasis in the mountains.
