Edgar Evins State Park boasts waterfront views and more than sixty tent and trailer campsites. Rates range from $12 to $40, so you can choose to spend as much or as little as you like. Pets are allowed, but make sure you keep them on a leash! Reservations can be made online through October, though there are roughly twenty campsites that are available for camping all year long. A great place to camp in Tennessee!

2. Fall Creek Falls State Park: Starting at $10

Fall Creek Falls State Park is massive, boasting five different camping areas with 222 campsites. Each site has water, electricity, picnic tables, and a grill, with six bathhouses that serve the camping community. If you're looking to experience nature to its fullest extent, take advantage of one of the sixteen primitive sites in the park.

3. Meriwether Lewis Campground: Free

It doesn't get any cheaper than free! Meriwether Lewis Campground is located on the Natchez Trace in Hohenwald, and it's completely free. Folks rave about its beauty, and though there are no water hookups at the sites the campground is well-designed and boasts roughly thirty-two camping areas. A great Tennessee campground.

4. Tims Ford State Park: Starting at $10

Perhaps one of the prettiest state parks in Tennessee, Tims Ford is great for folks who are looking to spend their days on the banks of the lake or perhaps puttering around on a pontoon boat. Reservations start at a mere $10 a night for backcountry sites, and there are fifty-two campsites available for reservation all year round. One of the best campgrounds in Tennessee.

5. Rhea Springs Recreation Area: $10 for Rhea County residents

Located on the Watts Bar Reservoir, the Rhea Springs Recreation Area offers up affordable camping to folks on the go. It's a great spot for primitive camping and fishing, plus the views of the lake are truly incredible. It's a bare-bones camping experience but one that's easy on the wallet and unforgettable for the heart. A great place to go camping in Tennessee!

6. Montgomery Bell State Park: Starting at $10

This historic space is open all year long, with forty-seven campsites available for reservation. Whether you're bringing along a camper or a tent, this gorgeous campground has three bathhouses and picnic tables, grills, and trash cans at each site. You can bring your pets, as long as they stay on a leash, and you can even reserve a campsite that's located on the bank of the campground creek. Gorgeous! This is a great Tennessee campground!

7. Roan Mountain: Starting at $17

Roan Mountain State Park is known for its grand beauty and ample opportunity for fun with the whole family. With 107 family campsites available for reservation, all located near a bathhouse and boasting grills and picnic tables, this is one way to see the beauty of Tennessee on a tight budget.
