A Family Campout At The Great Plains Zoo In South Dakota Is One Of The Best Things You Will Do This Summer

Taking place on select summer dates, the Family Camp Out at the Great Plains Zoo allows families the chance to experience wildlife unlike ever before.

"We’ll pitch our tents near the Rare Rhinos exhibit and enjoy animal encounters, a fire pit and evening snack, and an after dark tour of the Zoo," shares the Great Plains Zoo, adding that after a good night of sleep, guests will be treated to breakfast and even more encounters with the "ambassador animals."

Can you imagine falling asleep and waking up to exotic animals from different continents? Talk about a bucket list moment!

The Family Camp Out at the Great Plains Zoo is recommended for families with kids ages 6 and up, with at least one adult per every 5 children.

Please note: Guests must provide their own tent, bedding, and other camping necessities.

Admission to the Family Camp Out is $35 for members or $40 for non-members ages 13 and up, and $25 for members or $30 for non-members ages 6 to 12.
