Shawnee Island Glamping, nestled on a private island on the Delaware River, promises a relaxing experience away from the excitement of the mainland.

Climb aboard a canoe, with other glamping guests, for a picturesque ride to the island.

Once there, discover four luxury tents, each decked out with a queen bed and a day bed. Of course, you'll also have other amenities such as a lamp and a lantern, a heater and a fan, and an alarm clock.

The communal setting of the tents offers the ideal opportunity to make new friends and to share a unique experience with fellow travelers.

Or, simply while the evening away alone, swaying back and forth on a hammock.

Nighttime offers the perfect opportunity for telling stories around and roasting marshmallows over a campfire.

Check-in time at the glamping island varies depending on the time of the year. All guests arrive at and depart from the island, via canoe, at the same time.

Guests can spend the day on the mainland, indulging in the inn's amenities or exploring the area, before returning to the island for the evening. (The island is closed during the day.)
