The Spectacular Spot In Pennsylvania Where You Can Camp Right On The Beach
Sara's Campground in Pennsylvania offers beachside tent camping on a first-come, first-serve basis with various amenities and activities.
Anytime's a good time to start planning our warm-weather adventures - whether we're bundled up on a snowy winter day or staying cool in the A/C on a sweltering summer afternoon. We can always use a good beach day, soaking up the sun, wading in the cool lake water, and catching a glorious sunset. However, sometimes a day simply isn't enough. That's when we check into the campground in Pennsylvania where you can pitch a tent right on the sandy beach.
A beach day in Pennsylvania usually means heading to one of the 11 sandy beaches nestled on the shores of Lake Erie.
Sometimes, however, a day lounging on the beach just isn't enough. While Erie's brimming with cozy places to stay, you can't go wrong with a camping adventure.
Sara's Campground offers traditional RV camping. You'll be just a short walk from the beach, but why walk when you can stay in a tent on the sandy beach?
However, there's a catch. While you can reserve an RV spot, tent camping is first come first serve, and spaces tend to fill up quickly. Arrive early to snag a coveted spot on the beach.
All tent sites, including those that are bayside, are first come first serve.
Increase your chances of getting a spot on the beach by calling 814-833-4560 starting at 7 p.m. the evening before you want to visit the campground to find out if there are any spots the following day.
Bring your tent to grab a spot on the waiting list, which begins at 7:30 a.m. The assignment of camping spots begins at 9 a.m.
Sara's Campground also hosts crafts and activities throughout the season.
Don't worry if you don't want to sleep on the beach. Wooded campsites, for tent and RV camping, are also an option.
Sara's Campground, which is open seasonally, offers a full menu of amenities, including a general store, picnic tables, laundry, a game room, and a playground.
Grill your meals, or grab a bite to eat at the on-site Crazy Oven Restaurant. Save some time, too, to check out the souvenir shop.
