The Oregon Airbnb With a Next-Level Wood Stove That Redefines Cozy Season
Searching for a cozy winter getaway in Oregon? This tiny house cabin is the perfect escape. It's surrounded by tall trees that look magical covered in snow, and an old-fashioned wood stove promises to keep you warm.
Winter is about slowing down and drawing inward, taking time to reflect so we can enter the rest of the year with purpose and intention. The Woodlands Hideout, a cozy winter getaway in Oregon, is the perfect place to do just that, nestled deep in the trees away from big city noise and distractions. This semi-off-grid tiny house cabin is the epitome of a winter escape, offering an old-fashioned wood stove for warmth and comfort, and magical views of the snowy forest landscape.
The Woodlands Hideout is located in the small city of Sandy, about 25 miles east of Portland. Nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, Sandy is often referred to as the "Gateway to Mt. Hood," so it’s an ideal destination for those seeking easy access to popular area attractions while avoiding the hustle and bustle of the city. The cabin is small, but it was designed that way for a reason. With such beautiful surroundings, the idea is to disconnect from the senses and immerse yourself in nature, so you leave feeling refreshed.
Featuring one bedroom and one bathroom, the tiny house sleeps no more than two guests, making it the perfect romantic retreat. It embraces modern minimalism, with clean lines, neutral colors, and simple decor, all aimed at redirecting attention to the outside world.
The amenities are few, but you’ll have everything you need for a comfortable stay. A modest kitchenette is equipped with a movable induction cooktop, a mini fridge with a small freezer section, and a toaster oven. Cooking basics, like cups/plates/bowls/utensils, pots and pans, a cutting board, and olive oil, salt, and pepper, are also provided. Coffee lovers, fear not. You'll have access to an electric kettle, a manual coffee grinder, and a pour-over, so you can start your mornings the same way you always do. Sip your warm mug while you watch the snow fall outside, settling on the branches of the towering pines and ferns on the property.
Wi-Fi is available, but bandwidth is limited, so the hosts ask that you use it mindfully.
While there are a few other rentals on the 5-acre property, they're spread out enough that you'll still enjoy plenty of privacy. The dense foliage also does a lot for the remote, isolated feel, even if you aren't technically alone. (And in case you're wondering, yes, the windows do have curtains.) You're welcome to explore the grounds, so long as you don't get too close to the other cabins. There's a picnic bench behind the Hideout, perfect for relaxing in the calm winter woods. Then, you can come back inside and cozy up next to the wood stove to bring warmth back into your body.
Visit the Airbnb listing for The Woodlands Hideout for more information about the property, including the current nightly rate and upcoming availability.
