What really makes it stand out, though, is its long past. The hotel, now 98 years old, survived a devastating boardwalk fire and later became iconic thanks to its multiple massive saltwater pools. The ghost in question is a young woman believed to be named Emily.

She is also known as the Lady in White. Emily is allegedly in her 20s with long brown hair, and is rumored to have had a lover who died in World War II.

Emily is considered to be a cheerful ghost, so don't be scared. She is a bit of a troublemaker, though.

Guests and staff say she fiddles with locks, swings doors back and forth, and unscrews lightbulbs.

People have reported seeing the spirit of Emily, who wears a long white dress, all throughout the hotel.

She's been spotted in the lobby, the second and fourth floors, and the basement area. People have also heard her laughing and singing in these areas.

Does the hotel mind the ghost? Not really. In fact, the hotel restaurant is named Emily's.
