Getting out into the great outdoors of New Hampshire is one of the best ways to appreciate the state. That can be a simple hike or it can be spending a night or two sleeping under the stars. The only problem? Getting a night's sleep on the ground isn't for everyone. In those cases, we love the idea of glamping! This more comfortable (or "glamorous" as the name suggests) version of camping is a fantastic way to experience the outdoors while staying comfortable and having fun. This new spot is a great option for doing it!
Snug Life Camping in Wilton offers one of the most user-friendly camping experiences you can find. This is perfect for people who like the idea of camping, but not fumbling around the putting up their own tent and sleeping on the ground.
This glamping-style alternative is the perfect way to enjoy the outdoors. The canvas-walled tent features bunk beds with two queen-sized air mattresses making this lovely for a small group of friends or a family.
The tent also houses a wood-burning stove and end tables making it feel more like a rustic hotel room than an actual tent.
But that doesn't mean you won't be camping! The site has no running water and no electricity, so you'll still be able to say you roughed it out there.
We love the small deck at the front of the tent which is great for taking in the sights and sounds of the Souhegan River.
When you get hungry there's a fire pit with cooking grill grates to whip up a great camp meal.
There's also a riverside picnic table with benches that even has a prep-station with a bottle-opener and a box for storing your food outside.
This place will look great in photos if you like to document your adventures. But we recommend you unplug, unwind and enjoy the quiet.
When it comes time to explore, head a mile past the campsite to where the paved road ends. About eight miles beyond is the Nissitissit Bridge, a pedestrian "kissing bridge" spanning the Nissitissit River in Brookline.
The walk is worth it, but we understand if you prefer to simply sit by the river at the tent and dream. It's a beautiful way to enjoy New Hampshire life.
Snug Life Riverfront Glamping is about $90 per night and can be booked on airbnb.com or hipcamp.com. You can learn more about the space on either website. There's also a clearing near the river that's great for tent camping. You can also check them out on Facebook. They can be reached on 603-657-0325.
Luckily, for those looking to experience more comfort when they camp, there are a few different glamping options in the state. This amazing luxury glampground in New Hampshire will blow your mind!
