Sleep Under A Sky Dome At Montana’s New Bucket List Resort

In 2021, Montana quietly welcomed a brand new style of lodging, seemingly a perfect mix of luxury accommodations and being close to nature. And while Clear Sky Resorts' newest property is only seasonally available, the company is already gearing up for an amazing summer. Bookmark this place and make a note to make a reservation when they're available, because this is definitely a bucket list experience.

Clear Sky Resort opened in Essex in June of 2021.

And while Montana is the perfect place for a luxury dome resort, this isn't actually the company's first location. They also have a property at the Grand Canyon (which, admittedly, is also an ideal spot).

The resort consists of a small group of Sky Domes, which can only be described as a step (or two) above glamping.

The idea is for guests to enjoy nature to the fullest without sacrificing the luxury experience.

When you arrive, you'll check in at the beautiful Welcome Dome.

There, you'll learn about all the amenities, like free WiFi, yard games, and the on-site lounge with a daily happy hour and snacks.

Deciding on a dome will depend on your party size and how much space you need.

There are two domes meany for two, one for four guests, and this "Glacier Peak" Sky Dome, which can accommodate five. And while the domes don't have kitchens, the Tavern at Stanton Lake is located next door.

Each dome has all the comforts of home, like full bathrooms, running water, heating, and AC.

Better yet, the domes are all energy efficient with a low impact on nature.

Of course, the absolute best part of sleeping in a Sky Dome is the stargazing.
