The Amazing Montana Restaurant Where You Can Spend The Night

Serrano's in East Glacier Park offers outstanding Mexican cuisine and rustic, affordable accommodations for travelers.

Imagine treating yourself to a hearty Mexican meal after a long day of exploring the beautiful Glacier National Park. Then, imagine walking straight to the back into your own private cabin for a restful night of sleep. When you dine at Sorrento's Mexican Restaurant in East Glacier Park, that's exactly what you can do.

Serrano's is located at 29 Dawson Ave. in East Glacier Park.

If you've been to Glacier, you've probably seen the sign. Perhaps you've even dined there.

Serrano's is open seasonally, and during the summer months, it stays perpetually packed.

You may have to wait for a table at times, but it's worth it.

The food here is outstanding, with a menu that focuses on foods of Mexico and the southwest.

Their goal is to use the freshest and healthiest ingredients available.

Try the chicken mole for a real treat.

The grilled chicken breast is smothered in authentic mole sauce and served with black beans, rice, and flour tortillas.

The dining room is part of an old log home built by Tom Dawson in 1909.

Dawson was a mountaineer and early explorer of the area that would one day become Glacier National Park. This happens to be the oldest house still standing in East Glacier Park.

If you're having so much fun at Sorrento's you can't bear to leave (or if you say Si! to one more margarita), the Backpacker's Inn is located in their backyard.

The Backpacker's Inn consists of a few cozy cabins meant for hikers and backpackers to rest and recharge.

The accommodations are definitely rustic, but they have everything you need for a great rest.

Plus, at $20 per night, they're extremely affordable.

The 2018 season will soon come to an end at Serrano's, but there's still time to enjoy a burrito, a margarita, and a cabin stay.

And if you can't make it this year, you can work it into next year's trip to Glacier.

We definitely appreciate our Mexican food here in Montana. Have you checked out our tasty taco trail?
