Montana’s Calvert Hotel Brings Local History To Life
The Calvert Hotel in Lewistown, Montana, offers a blend of historic charm and modern luxury, making it a perfect and affordable weekend getaway.
If there's one thing we love in Montana, it's learning about our local history. Luxury hotel stays, however, are a close second for most of us. Located in Lewistown, the Calvert Hotel is a charming boutique hotel with an interesting past and a bright future. There's only one problem with this place: it's practically impossible to leave.
In our opinion, Lewistown is a wildly underrated part of Montana.
Surrounded by three mountain ranges with plenty of amenities and attractions like the Charles M. Russell Wildlife Refuge, it's a perfect spot for a weekend getaway.
The Calvert Hotel was constructed in 1917, when it served as a dormitory for ranch children to stay in when they came to town for the school week.
In 1929, it was converted into a hotel.
While the building has been fully renovated since its century-old beginnings, it still has a lot of historic charm.
Think vintage touches blended with art deco decor.
The elegant guest rooms all have luxury bedding, smart TVs, and Keurig coffee makers.
Choose from a classic King or Double Queen room, or splurge on the spacious King Suite.
The bathrooms here are true works of art, featuring clawfoot tubs (in some rooms) and Beekman 1802 amenities.
You can tell no expense was spared when the property was remodeled.
Your room rate includes a deluxe grab & go breakfast each morning of your stay, which you can enjoy downstairs or in your room...
...and speaking of rates, the guest rooms here have a surprisingly affordable price tag.
Room rates here average $149, which is far less than you'd pay in a city like Bozeman or Whitefish in the summer.
If you're in need of a change of scenery, consider the Calvert Hotel.
Not only is the property beautiful, it happens to be surrounded by gorgeous nature.
There's nothing quite like staying in one of Montana's historic hotels. See for yourself!
