If You Have The Need for Speed, This Unique Missouri Airbnb Has a Private Racetrack
Go full throttle at the Little Talladega Airbnb in Missouri. It offers a private racetrack, an indoor go-kart track, a totally free arcade, and more!
“Go big or go home” seems to be the motto of Missouri’s most unique vacation rental, the Little Talladega Airbnb in Pomona. This adrenaline-packed getaway features a luxurious Tuscan mansion surrounded by a sprawling race track. You can go full throttle right out your front door with the pack of toys included with your stay, including ATVs, go-karts, and electric drift cars. That’s only the beginning of the amped-up amenities you'll find at Little Talladega. The combination of fun indoor and outdoor activities makes it perfect for a late-summer or early-fall getaway in Missouri.
My hometown and a few locations around the nation have a restaurant and indoor amusement park called Incredible Pizza, and that’s exactly what this Airbnb is like, minus the endless buffet. Think of it like a Chuck E. Cheese on serious steroids, combined with a tourist-town go-kart track. What makes it even better is that you don’t have to share the space or the toys. It is all yours!
Let’s start outside with the racetrack at Little Talladega, which is appropriately named for Alabama’s Talladega Superspeedway. This isn’t a rinky-dink ring; it’s a massive track with loops and interlocking figure eights. On-site staff members help you access the garage of motorsport toys for high-octane thrills. The hosts can even put on a drift show and take guests on rip-roaring rides, sliding around the sharp turns at a breathtaking speed.
During a late summer Missouri getaway, you’ll enjoy having the wind whip your hair as you take to the track, but if that doesn’t cool you off enough, you can hop in the pool, which is lit for extra fun after dark. Relax in the hot tub, or climb the spiral staircase to reach the upper patio, which offers views of the surrounding countryside. A playground gives little ones a place of their own to explore. Plus, you can enjoy golf, tennis, and fishing—all on the property grounds.
During a cool or rainy fall Missouri getaway at Little Talladega, the fun doesn’t stop. Inside the 10,000-square-foot garage, you’ll find a go-kart track, an arcade, a dance floor, a fully outfitted home gym, and gel blasters (which shoot water-based gel balls for thrilling games of hide-and-seek). None of this entertainment costs extra. My own sons would have loved this, especially during those tricky-to-entertain tween and teen years.
The racing theme continues throughout the luxurious home, which offers eight bedrooms and 16 beds. My car-loving son would have gone wild for the racecar beds. These aren’t the plastic beds designed for toddlers; they are much more realistic. Another room has vintage pickup truck beds that have been transformed into beds for sleeping.
Throughout Little Talladega, you’ll find checkerboard flag accents, automotive illustrations, and homages to NASCAR legends like Dale Earnhardt. Even the kitchen is decked out with clever car details, like a toaster shaped like a red metal Snap-on toolbox and utensil sets with sockets and wrenches as the handles.
If you’re looking for a unique Airbnb that can host a super fun family reunion, work party, or birthday/holiday celebration, Little Talladega is it. You won’t need to spend time and money on outside entertainment when you can simply stay and play at this unbelievably unique Missouri vacation home.
