This Mississippi Airbnb Has the Most Underrated Fishing Spot
With four bedrooms, this Airbnb sits on a picture-perfect private lake where guests can catch catfish, brim, and bass.
As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, you might find yourself craving more time on the water. Are you interested in finding a hidden gem fishing spot in Mississippi? You know, the type of place where you'll be the only person fishing. You won't have to listen to the rumble of nearby boats or loud music, as is often the case on large, busy waterways. I love fishing on small private lakes that are completely hidden from the rest of the world.
We've found a large, peaceful cabin Airbnb in Bruce, with its own private lake, an underrated fishing spot in Mississippi. This private cabin has four bedrooms and accommodates up to 14 people. It sits on 80 acres of peaceful, remote land, giving guests a proper break from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Guests can access a beautiful, private lake steps from the cabin. It has a wooden fishing dock, where you can catch catfish, brim, and bass.
The cabin has incredible outdoor spaces, including a covered front porch and a large deck with an outdoor dining table and a covered grill. It's the perfect place to grill out after an afternoon of fishing. The open-concept Airbnb also has a welcoming kitchen, dining, and living space. The kitchen has black cabinetry, a refrigerator, a microwave, an oven, a coffee maker, and more. Nearby, a massive wooden dining table seats up to 12. Here, a large group can enjoy a casual breakfast in the morning, a card game in the evening, or anything in between.
The Mississippi cabin has large living spaces with plenty of room for guests to relax. There are comfortable couches, an indoor gas fireplace, and a high-definition television. I'd love to curl up on the cabin's oversized chair with a good book and a hot cup of coffee.
There are nine beds in four bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have king-sized beds, another has a single bed and bunk beds, and the last has bunk beds. With so much room to spread out, multiple families can stay in the cabin together. For more details and availability, visit the private lakeside cabin's listing on Airbnb.
This Airbnb with an underrated fishing spot is about 30 minutes from Oxford, a small town perfect for weekend exploring. Oxford is home to the University of Mississippi, which has a gorgeous campus. Rowan Oak, the stately Greek Revival home of the author William Faulkner, is open to visitors year-round. The city also has a historic downtown square and incredible restaurants. If you take a one-day trip to this small town in Mississippi, consider stopping by Bottletree Bakery, Handy Andy Grocery, or Funkys Pizza and Daiquiri Bar.
Bruce, Mississippi, is also about a 50-minute drive from Grenada Lake, a 35,000-acre lake with abundant fishing. Grenada Lake was voted one of the top ten most beautiful lakes in Mississippi, according to our readers. It's a popular spot to catch crappie and catfish, but it has fishing limitations and regulations. For example, there is a daily maximum of ten crappie per person, and each crappie caught must also be over 12 inches. The state also requires fishing licenses. For more details regarding these regulations, visit the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks' websites for General Fishing Rules and Regulations and the Grenada Reservoir.
