Pining to get away? Well, we’ve got just the spot – Longleaf Piney Resort! A tiny house resort, it’s comprised of several small abodes and a vintage Airstream. And while the accommodations are amazing, the locale is nothing to scoff at. It’s located along the Longleaf Trace, a 41-mile rail trail! Take a look:
South Mississippi’s premier glampground, Longleaf Piney Resort is located on the 9th mile of the Longleaf Trace in Hattiesburg.
Offering a camping experience that’s anything but ordinary, the resort boasts “tiny houses and big living.”
Despite being located in one of Mississippi’s largest cities, you’ll feel as if you’re a million miles away when visiting, which likely has something to do with the towering pines and hardwoods that surround the resort.
The resort is made up of four small abodes – each of which is sure to make a BIG impression!
In addition to three tiny houses, The Southern Shindig, The Fais Do Do, and Hattie’s Hoedown, there’s The Flying Cloud, a vintage Airstream.
Even though all of the abodes are outfitted with the comforts of home and a private campfire area, they’re not exactly alike. Each boasts some sort of unique feature, which includes everything from a transparent garage door opening to an attached deck.
Regardless of which lodging option you choose, you’re sure to be surprised at how spacious it is (for a tiny house, that is). Speaking of space, all of the abodes sleep four comfortably, except for The Fais Do Do, which sleeps two.
Make sure to bring your bike! A top-ranked rail trail, The Longleaf Trace is easily accessible from the resort and offers 41 miles of paved bike trails.
