Walter White (no, not the character from Breaking Bad) and his wife Cora began accepting boarders to their home in the late 1800s.

Walter was a local lawyer, and Cora pretty much ran the new-found "family business" which quickly expanded to include neighboring buildings. Over the years, buildings were connected to create a lobby, dining rooms, and ballrooms. Business was good!

After sitting vacant for about 30 years, the White House Hotel was restored to her original glory and opened to new guests in 2014.

Today, the boutique hotel boasts 76 rooms.
