Mark Your Calendars, As A Sports Illustrated Resort Is Coming Soon To Mississippi
Sports Illustrated is opening a unique mega-resort called Blue Water Beach in D’Iberville, Mississippi, featuring hotels, themed restaurants, and an 11-acre lagoon.
Mississippi Gulf Coast hotels come in all shapes and sizes – and the newest, a $400 million Sports Illustrated resort, will be a doozy! In addition to hotels, the "mega-resort complex" will feature dining, a man-made beach, and lots more. When it comes to Mississippi resorts, it’s unlike any other, which is why you’ll want to mark your calendar for its opening.
Sports Illustrated recently announced plans to create a unique lifestyle hotel, resort, and entertainment experience.
The first Sports Illustrated resort opened in Punta Cana in the summer of 2022.
Plans are currently underway to open Sports Illustrated resorts in destinations throughout the U.S.
Even more exciting, one of the first-ever Sports Illustrated resorts on the Gulf Coast will be built right here in Mississippi!
The new resort, Blue Water Beach, is set to be built just south of The Promenade, a shopping center in D’Iberville.
Dubbed a “mega-resort,” the 78-acre property will feature three hotels, shopping centers, themed restaurants, and venues for live music.
An 11-acre lagoon will sit at the center of the resort.
Slated to be the highlight of Blue Water Beach, the lagoon will be filled with water transported all the way from the Caribbean! Plus, it will be surrounded by pristine white sand.
Experiential Ventures Hospitality, the developer behind Sports Illustrated resorts, expects the D’Iberville locale to open in 2024.
As far as Mississippi Gulf Coast hotels go, the Sports Illustrated resort will be tough to beat! To learn more about this resort (as well as others like it), check out the Sports Illustrated Resorts website.
