Sleep Underneath The Forest Canopy At This Epic Treehouse In Minnesota
The Long Prairie Treehouse in Minnesota offers a unique and rustic stay surrounded by nature.
We Minnesotans are nature lovers at heart. Most of us jump at the chance to hike through a forest or camp under the stars. But it's not always practical - or relaxing - to load the car with camping gear for just a few nights. Luckily, there's an epic treehouse hotel in Minnesota that gives you the best of both worlds. At the Long Prairie Treehouse, you can sleep under a canopy of trees without ever having to pitch a tent.
The treehouse is run by Joyce and Richard LaVoie. It's located on their 16-acre property in Long Prairie, Minnesota.
The treehouse is actually supported by three trees - so you know it's extra sturdy.
The cabin is small - just 120 square feet - but it can sleep up to five people. Your stay includes breakfast every morning.
Inside the treehouse is a comfortable yet rustic living space. There is a toilet and outdoor shower available.
The inside is nice, but the patio may be the best feature. It wraps around most of the treehouse to offer an amazing view of nature.
In warm months, it's a lovely place for bird lovers to relax. You'll have ample opportunity to hear them sing.
Winter is less noisy. A quiet stillness blankets the woods after every snowfall.
Visitors who stay in chilly months will use a wood-burning stove to keep warm. But no matter when you stay, it's bound to be a relaxing vacation.
