This Remote Small Town Hotel In Michigan Is The Best Place To Spend A Long Weekend
If you’ve yet to explore what there is to do in Mid-Michigan, you might be missing out. I have great memories of spending time with friends, enjoying a snowshoe hike during the winter, and enjoying the fall harvest at a cider mill. Now that many of my friends have moved out of the area, I’ve found a few places to stay to make more memorable moments.
When I want to feel like I have the staff’s entire attention, I look to stay at The 3one3 Boutique Hotel in Alma, Michigan. It’s a great home base to start a fun weekend in this part of the state, and it's also featured on our list of The Best Hotels and Resorts in Michigan.
The 3one3 Boutique Hotel is built at the crossroads of modern design and historic charm. The hotel features nine guest rooms that come in five different floor plans. The recently renovated interior makes the most of this 125-year-old building.
Knowing you’re just one of up to nine guests is one of the reasons I’d choose this accommodation if I want a personal experience. This is also one of the more affordable boutique hotels on our list of the Best Hotels In Michigan.
The hardwood floors and sleek design make for a comfortable stay no matter which room you go with. You’ll have all the essential amenities you expect with the addition of a detailed study space.
It won’t be hard to focus in these rooms. Hopefully, you don’t have too much work if you’re in town.
Even though this hotel doesn’t have any meeting spaces or conference rooms, they say they’re happy to help arrange plans at a nearby venue. The same thing goes for the workout facility. They don’t have one on-site, but all guests get a free pass to the Alma College gym as part of their stay.
I think it says a lot about this hotel when they find solutions to make these opportunities possible for their guests.
It’s easy to relax after a long day of exploring with a steamy shower. You’ll receive complimentary luxury bathroom soaps to use in the spacious walk-in showers.
This is a great place to kickstart your adventures in Alma and the rest of Mid-Michigan. One of Alma’s biggest yearly attractions is the Alma Highland Festival & Games.
This annual event celebrates the Scottish heritage of many early European settlers to the area. Get ready to listen to a lot of bagpipes.
There are tons of cider mills in this part of the state. One of the best has to be Uncle John’s Cider Mill.
What started with a simple apple is now a complex with its own country store, food trucks, pumpkin patch, tractor rides, and of course, everything apple flavored.
The 3one3 Boutique Hotel is just as charming as the surrounding area. Whether you’re just passing through or you’re staying to explore, you’ll be the staff’s top priority. It also happens to be one of the more affordable boutique hotels you’ll find on our list of The Best Hotels and Resorts in Michigan with rooms starting at around $140 per night.
