These Treehouses in Maine Will Give You An Unforgettable Experience

We've given you B&B recommendations and told you about our favorite cabins, but what we have yet to talk about are treehouses and we think we've found the best ones Maine! This unique spot offers an opportunity to have to have an experience that is truly different than others. Climb up and spend the night without breaking the bank at TimberStone Adventures in East Stoneham.

This "treesort" offers two fully functional treehouses as well as one that's more "primitive."

The Spruce Suite which is pictured here comes with lots of amenities, including a kitchen, full bath, a loft with a double bed and a futon in the living room for two additional guests. It comes with everything you'll need for cooking! If all of this sounds far too fancy, you'll also be provided with a BBQ grill that takes 1lb propane tanks which you can purchase at the "treesort" or bring with you. And, perhaps best of all, it has a wrap around deck to truly immerse yourself in the surrounding trees and nature.

If you're the minimalist type, you'll love "The Birdie" treehouse.

This more "primitive" treehouse lacks any running water or bedding. It comes with a 12v lighting system for times when you really need a little bit of creature comfort. But, mostly, this place is a nature lover's dream!

It sleeps 4, has a loft with two ottomans that fold out into single beds and a full sized futon on the main floor for additional sleeping space.

If sleeping INSIDE Birdie is too fancy, you can take a snooze underneath on a hammock!

There's also the added bonus of true "roughing it" with a nearby outhouse.

You'll have to navigate this swirly staircase to get there!

And, here's the grandaddy of them all!

This 1200 sq ft treehouse is custom built with just about all the lumber harvested and milled on site!

The Grand Oak treehouse sleeps 8 people!

It has a full kitchen, two full baths, two living rooms and a custom built spiral staircase. There are two bedrooms with queen beds and two twin beds along with a full size futon in the upstairs living room.

Every room tells its own unique story which truly makes this a one-of-a-kind experience.
