Sleep Under The Stars At This Maine Lavender Farm For An Experience Unlike Any Other
Braun's Riverside Lavender farm in Steep Falls, Maine offers a unique camping experience with riverside views and various outdoor activities.
Camping in Maine is something we look forward to all winter. When the sun comes out and the warmer weather hits, we dream of those nights outside under the stars. But, rather than head to the same spots every summer we're always on the hunt for something unique. This lavender farm offers just that!
Braun's Riverside Lavender farm is privately owned and operated by Mark and Tammy Braun in Steep Falls, Maine.
Their goal is to become the largest organic lavender grower and supplier of lavender-based products in southern Maine.
And with just under 6,000 plants it looks like they're well on their way!
The farm is veteran owned and operated and this summer they're adding more open farm days for visitors to come meet them and see how the farm works.
Our favorite thing about this beautiful place is the riverside location and the camping site that exists right alongside it.
Located directly on the bank of the Saco River, this camping site is beautiful.
The site is equipped with everything you need for an overnight stay, including bunk beds with the most comfortable queen-sized mattresses.
They even have tiki torches and all the things you'll need for setting up a campfire dinner under the stars.
If you're the active type they've even got kayaks, a canoe and paddle board. You can also enjoy horse shoes, ladder ball, cornhole and badminton.
We love the idea of visiting this farm andthen being able to spend the night in one of the most gorgeous settings in southern Maine.
The farm is just 30 minutes from Portland, making it an easy add-on to a trip to the city if you're from away.
You can learn more about Riverside Lavender Farm on their website or by following them on Facebook. You can reach them on 207-332-6502. Address: 55 River Road, Steep Falls, Maine 04085.
