There’s No Better Way To Enjoy The Outdoors Than The First Ever Great Maine Camp Out This Fall

If you love the outdoors and the state of Maine, there's a good chance you've been camping your way through summer. Sandy Pines Camgpround in Kennebunkport will host the first annual Great Maine Camp Out Sept 22nd to the 23rd and it's shaping up to be a must-attend fall event!

The campground is located in a secluded beach forest, and it's bordered by a salt marsh making for gorgeous ocean views in addition to their onsite amenities.

The campground is just a few minutes away from from Goose Rocks Beach and Dock Square making the area perfect for camping and exploring the town.

The event will include lots of fun events for the whole family, including a crafts & story hour for kids at 11 a.m.

From 11:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m. enjoy burgers and hot dogs at the Burger Bash by the pool

At 5 p.m. check out the campfire cooking experience for everyone to share recipes.

The best part might just be the s’mores recipe contest judging and group bonfire at 7 p.m.

Make anything you want as long as it's between two graham cookies! There will be a first, second and third place winner, plus a kid’s winner.

The Great Maine Camp Out offers an opportunity to enjoy the Sandy Pines glamping facilities, which include this beautiful set up.

Or, one of their unique Hideaway Huts.

Or, try traditional tent camping.

The campground is a little more expensive than some, but you can't bean the location and the amenities. And, this special weekend features discounted prices. On the 22nd, nightly rates start at $50 for tent sites; $59 for RV sites; $99 for Hideaway Huts; and $159 for Camp Carriages. If you book two nights, you'll get the third night free by using the code FALL when staying in a new Camp Carriage, Hideaway Hut or camping in an RV or tent.
