Then the claim to fame is their made-from-scratch pies, which you should save room for. These pies are sweet and delicious. It is abundantly clear with each bite that much time and effort went into perfecting this craft.

Dozens of people have taken a picture of themselves with the shirt in front of all kinds of monuments from all over the world. Then those pictures are hung on the wall throughout the diner. Grab a shirt and take it on your next trip to be a part of the story.

We’re not called The Pine Tree State for nothing! With all of these towering trees, why not spend a night in a treehouse in Maine and enjoy a lovely stay up in the trees? There’s a treehouse village in Maine called In The Trees which is located in Stoneham and has a wide variety of treehouse stays that you will want to keep coming back to.
advertisement
In The Trees is a wonderful collection of treehouses of many shapes and sizes in western Maine which is not just a great vacation stay, but there's an 18-hole mountainside disc golf course that will make your stay a fun adventure.
The biggest treehouse available here is called The Grand Oak and it has intriguing cordwood construction and spans 1,200 square feet and two stories. It can accommodate eight people and has a full kitchen, a wraparound deck, a wood stove, and even a jacuzzi. With heating and A/C, you can bring the whole family here any time of the year.
The next biggest stay is The Spruce Suite which can sleep four people. It’s 15 feet off the ground and is a nice romantic option with a private deck, a loft with a comfy queen bed, a small kitchen, a fire pit and grill, and a couple of futons for extra guests.
Next up is The Birdie which is an adorable little treehouse that’s as cute as its name. This is a more primitive, off-grid experience that sleeps four people. It doesn’t have its own running water but there is 12v power available and an outhouse just steps away. It’s more secluded than the other spots so it makes for a wonderfully secluded getaway.
If you’re looking for something closer to the ground, there are two A-frame small cabins named The Bogey and The Beech. These offer a rustic and primitive stay that’s kind of like a wooden tent. The Bogey has two twin-size cots inside and The Beech has one queen size bed. Each has 12v solar-powered electricity and an outhouse as well as a fire pit, and a patio with chairs and a small table.
The mountainside disc golf course is a rugged and adventurous course with 18 holes and is free if you are staying at In The Trees. It spans 26 acres and you’ll be playing among old-growth birch and oak trees and quartz boulders. There are trailheads and overlooks along the course and hewn-log benches to rest on.
You’ll truly love the scenic vistas here and the misty sunrises and serene sunsets are absolutely splendid. You’re sure to have a great time staying here whether in a treetop lap of luxury or a rustic A-frame getaway.
