Do you like roaming around to different beautiful locations, parking and spending the night somewhere new? Bringing your RV down to a local alpaca farm to go camping with alpacas is always a treat, especially with these fluffy cuties around! There's a lot to love about these fuzzy creatures, but when you get to see them as you wake up in the mornings, it's extra special. Come check out Misty Acres and settle in with something soft.
Welcome to Misty Acres, an alpaca farm in Sidney, ME that not only raises alpacas, but friendly furry faces that are always happy to greet someone.
With Harvest Hosts, you can park your RV here at the farm and enjoy all the perks of this adorable alpaca farm. Sleeping the night away on a quiet farm outside of town sounds like bliss, even without the friendly farm animals.
A love for alpacas is good and all, but every year, they need their fleece harvested to keep them happy and healthy. Luckily, that fleece can be used for all sorts of soft things we love to feel.
Alpaca fleece is spun into yarn and then made into purchasable products such as socks, cardigans, sweaters, and much more. Even stuffed animals have a home on these shelves, for any younger visitors to the farm to take home as a cuddly keepsake.
The owners, Red and Connie, are perfectly fine answering alpaca questions or opening up the shop for you as well. Browse for gifts and winter weather items or learn more about alpaca care in your spare time at the farm. It's always a wonderful time out here with these adorable babies.
Speaking of babies, if you're in love with baby alpacas, (who isn't?) then you'll want to visit between late May and early June to have the best shot at seeing a new baby. They're called cria, and the way they run around on their little legs will amuse anyone watching.
Misty Acres is a quiet and comfortable place to park your camper for the night. Who wouldn't find peace in a place this beautiful?
