This Campground In Maine Is Also An Awesome Hidden Adventure Park

Bethel Outdoor Adventure offers all sorts of summer activities for those looking for a one-stop fun shop!

One of the best are the many kayak and canoe trips down the Androscoggin.

Visitors can rent canoes, kayaks, or stand-up paddleboards, then choose a trip length.

A shuttle from the outdoor center travels upriver to the drop-off point, allowing guests to paddle back downstream to our location.

Those who love to fish, will have an opportunity to get a license at the front desk, then to cast to their heart's content from canoe or kayak or a drift boat on the river.

Everything is reasonably priced, but want to make a few bucks just in case?

You can sort through a bucket from a local mine at the on-site sluice.

Instructors will teach you to identify local minerals including black, green, blue, and watermelon tourmaline, quartz crystal, garnet, lepidolite, and aquamarine beryl.

The most unique activity at Bethel Outdoor Adventure is the Burma Bridge!

The Burma Bridge is 500 feet and crosses the Androscoggin River to Hastings Island.

Once on Hastings, visitors can take a one mile walking trail for birdwatching, wildlife watching, some peace and quiet or adventure!

All this fun will probably tucker you out...

Which is why it's convenient that they have a campsite next to the Androscoggin River.

The camping area is pet-friendly, is located just five miles from Sunday River Ski Area and has reasonably priced sites for both RVs and tents.
