This secluded cabin in Louisiana rests on the shores of Lake Claiborne in Homer. It’s just a stone’s throw away from Lake Claiborne State Park, one of my favorite state parks in Louisiana. Here, you can explore the hiking trails and enjoy the beautiful Lake Claiborne. 

Of course, this rental includes those dreamy Lake Claiborne views, so I wouldn’t blame you if you never left the cabin. With views like this, you certainly won’t be looking at your phone. There is no WiFi here, which helps encourage guests to stay off their devices. Kick back and relax on the deck overlooking the lake! There's a grill for cooking up those prized fish you'll catch and plenty of outdoor seating to soak up that fresh air.

The waterfront cabin had two bedrooms (four beds) and one bathroom and could accommodate seven guests comfortably.  

Lake Claiborne is a popular lake in Louisiana for boating, and there’s a boat launch right next to the cabin. You can’t beat that! Feel free to bring your tackle box and take your boat out to fish the lake, or just drop a line right from the dock. 

If the weather is warm enough, go ahead and make a splash in the lake! There’s a floating platform you can swim over to for sunbathing and jumping into the lake (no diving). 

The bedrooms are simple and modest. To keep costs down, you’ll need to bring your own sheets. A fair swap for $125 per night if you ask me. The kitchen does have all of the essentials, so you won’t need to bring anything but what you want to cook—utensils and cookware are provided.
