Sleep Under the Stars in This Geo Dome in Kentucky

Stargazing is one of the simplest yet most magical ways to spend an evening. We can look up at the sky and see the same constellations that people in ancient civilizations saw, like Ursa Major, Canis Major, Cassiopeia, and many more. Evidence suggests that people 32,000 years ago enjoyed the popular constellation Orion—incredible! Stargazing combines three of my loves: history, science, and nature. We've found an awesome Airbnb in Rogers, Kentucky, ideal for stargazing.

The Humble Hippie is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom geo dome in Red River Gorge. It's the perfect spot for lovers of the outdoors, with incredible views and peaceful surroundings. It accommodates two guests, and despite its compact size, it has amazing amenities, including air conditioning, heating, a television, Wi-Fi, and a kitchenette.

The Geodome Airbnb is a great place to stargaze. The dome has a 5-foot-wide skylight offering views of the starry night from inside the Airbnb. While you don't have to leave the property to enjoy the stars, guests can also stargaze from nearby Red River Gorge. National Park Service recommends the Sandstone Falls Boardwalk, Meadow Creek Campground, and Grandview Main Overlook for stargazing in the gorge, which is open 24 hours a day.

The Airbnb has a clean and comfortable bathroom with a vanity, mirror, and shower decked out with a groovy shower curtain. A queen-size Murphy bed with a pillow-top mattress creates a cozy place to rest at night but tucks away to create more space in the dome during the day. An efficient kitchenette also has a refrigerator, microwave, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, a coffeemaker, and a blender.

The Humble Hippie's outdoor spaces are the cherry on top. There's a hot tub, perfect for soaking after a long day of adventuring. It also has a fire pit and a hammock. Wouldn't reading a book in the hammock on a quiet afternoon be wonderful?

Red River Gorge is a sublime piece of Kentucky, even described as heaven on earth. It's fantastic for rock climbing, kayaking, ziplining, and hiking. Rock Bridge Trail is a scenic 1.5-mile loop that takes hikers past a natural sandstone arch and Creation Falls. Angel Windows Trail is a short 0.6-mile trail past remarkable double sandstone arches.

You won't go hungry on a trip to Red River Gorge, which has many incredible restaurants, including Sky Bridge Station, Red River Rockhouse, and RedPoint Barbeque.
