This clean and comfortable three-bedroom Airbnb is the perfect home base for memorable Mammoth Cave adventures.
Mammoth Cave is a geological wonder. Its more than 400 miles of underground passages, canyons, and domes make it the largest cave system on the planet. Mammoth Cave National Park is more than just an underground cave; it offers opportunities to hike, bike, canoe, kayak, fish, and ride horses. It's also designated an International Dark Sky Park and ideal for stargazing. It's no surprise that each year, hundreds of thousands of people come to see and learn about Kentucky's crown jewel. Several accommodation options are available when visiting, including a lodge located next to the park's visitor center, as well as hotels and campgrounds in nearby cities. We've found a three-bedroom, two-bathroom Airbnb in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky, that's the perfect home base for memorable adventures in Mammoth Cave National Park.
The Mammoth Cave Getaway is a stunning home with a spacious kitchen featuring bright white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and an island with three bar stools. A nearby coffee bar is stocked with a traditional coffeemaker, a Keurig, a kettle, and mugs. Guests can easily prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the fully equipped space. The dining room is equally as beautiful, with a large, welcoming dining table that seats six.
The living space is a wonderful place to relax after a long day of adventures, with plush couches, a recliner, and a wall-hanging television. The room also features a large framed map of Mammoth Cave National Park, including the current hiking, biking, and riding trails. Can you imagine pinpointing the places you visited after an exciting day in the park?
The home's outdoor spaces are impressive, featuring a large covered front porch that faces the national park and a spacious back porch overlooking a lake. There's also an outdoor fire pit with eight Adirondack chairs, fantastic for s'mores and campfire stories that the whole family will love. You could include this haunted hiking trail in your Mammoth Cave itinerary and tell ghost stories around the fire after!
The Mammoth Cave Getaway is conveniently located just across the street from the park and within a 10- to 20-minute drive to the visitor center under typical conditions. The shortest route to the visitor center utilizes the Green River Ferry, which transports cars, people, and bicycles across the river. The ferry opened in 1934 and usually operates year-round, except Christmas Day.
Unfortunately, flooding in April 2025 damaged the ferry. Repairs are underway, but the ferry remains closed until their completion. Visitors can still easily access the visitor center from the Mammoth Cave Getaway, although the drive is longer, at 40 minutes. Previous guests remarked that the drive was beautiful, with winding, scenic roads.
After a full day enjoying all that Mammoth Cave National Park has to offer, guests can rest in the Airbnb's fantastic bedrooms. There are three bedrooms, each with a king bed, a queen bed, and a queen bunk bed. The beds have a variety of mattresses, allowing all types of sleepers to find their perfect match. The home also has a washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, and extra blankets and pillows.
