This Hidden Resort In Kentucky Is The Perfect Place To Get Away From It All

In need of a relaxing getaway where you can unplug and unwind, but don’t want to have to travel very far? Luckily, the Cliffview Resort in Campton, KY is a reasonable drive from anywhere in Kentucky. Nestled on a cliff overlooking a tranquil lake and the Cowan Fork Gorge within the Red River Gorge, Cliffview Resort is a hidden destination located in a secluded natural setting with plenty of activities to do throughout your stay.

This resort has a rustic feel with modern luxuries, and makes a great home base for going out and exploring all the natural wonders the area has to offer. Go hiking and marvel at some of the stunning sandstone arches that the Red River Gorge is known for. Check out some of the world-renowned rock climbing routes, go kayaking or canoeing down the Red River, or just simply sit, relax, and enjoy the surroundings.

The Lodge at Cliffview Resort has 16 rooms, and sleeps 64 people total.

Speaking of special occasions, the resort also has a 7,000-square foot reception hall.

Seat up to 225 guests in their reception hall, and then step out onto the wrap-around veranda that offers stunning views of the surrounding area. If you do decide to tie the knot here, they have a few different beautiful locations for your ceremony.

However, if the Lodge is full and you’re still looking for a place for a large group to stay, the resort has two large luxury cabins to choose from, such as the Cliffview Retreat.

The Cliffview Retreat is an 11-bedroom, 12-bathroom cabin. The bedrooms sleep 35, but with the options of comfy couches and pull-out futons, maximum occupancy is 50. With two large hot tubs, a huge kitchen, game room, theatre room, a deck with a gas grill, and outdoor gazebo, this cabin has everything you would need for a perfect getaway.

The Cliffview Lakeside is the newest addition at the resort.

This cabin has 12 bedrooms and 11.5 bathrooms. The bedrooms sleep 37, but like the Retreat, the maximum occupancy is 50. It has many of the same amenities as the Retreat, such as hot tubs, a deck with a gas grill, game room, theatre room, and a huge kitchen with multiple appliances.
