You’ll Never Forget Your Stay At Cedar Bluff State Park Campground, A Waterfront Campground In Kansas

When the weather warms up in Kansas, there are few activities I enjoy more than heading out for a weekend of camping. I love the basic getting-back-to-nature feel that you can only get from sleeping in a tent, but there's also something to be said about the more glamorous aspects of staying in an RV. Whether you're glamping or roughing it in a tent, one of the best campgrounds in Kansas is found at Cedar Bluff State Park, a sprawling recreation area in between Ellis and Wakeeney, KS in Trego County. Not only is this a fantastic day trip that's perfect for anyone looking to spend time out by the water, but it's also an excellent spot to spend the night. Check it out:

Cedar Bluff State Park is a two-unit park that in total spans around 850 acres.

The park's centerpiece (and main draw) is the magnificently sprawling Cedar Bluff Reservoir.

The park's north unit, known as the Bluffton Area, is highly developed and has 96 campsites, boat ramps, dump stations, and even cabin rentals.

The unit along the south shores of the reservoir is known as the Page Creek Area. It's not as developed, or as popular, so it's perfect for those seeking primitive camping in a serene location.

The park's unique bluffs give it its name and provide beautiful scenery.

This is one of our favorite spots for camping (and outdoor activity) in western Kansas.
