Rock-N-Row Adventures Iowa River Tubing is located right on the Iowa River. You'll find it in Eldora, about 75 miles northeast of Des Moines. This has been the place to go for summer fun in the sun since 1994.
The campground uses shuttle buses to take tubers up the river. The buses leave every half hour, but if you want to make sure you get your reserved time spot, it's a good idea to try to arrive a little bit early.
The entire process of tubing the Iowa River takes about three to five hours, though of course, it'll depend on how fast the river is flowing and how fast you want to go. The river flows at its fastest speed in June, and by August, you may have to walk over a few sand bars.
No matter what time of year you embark on this adventure, don't forget to bring the cooler!
The campground is a blast. If you're hoping to hike for miles and miles, not seeing anyone else, and eating freeze-dried food, you may find yourself happier camping elsewhere.
f you're looking for a great group of people to drink beer and play corn hole with, this is the spot for you.
You'll find plenty of space in the campground, and it has many nice sites. Each site offers a picnic table, a fire ring, and some even have electric hookups for more of a glamping experience.
There are also available bathrooms (with showers), so you'll be able to rinse off after tubing.
The fun lasts long into the night at Rock-N-Row Adventures. This is the campground that never sleeps!
Bands play all season long, on weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day. You'll find plenty of great acts, ranging from country and rock to metal and blues bands.
Rock-N-Row Adventures suggests campers bring grills to cook food. You'll also want a cooler: one sized between 30 and 55 quarts works best. If you want to bring music players or speakers, they will need to be fit into one of the outfitter's tubes.
If you love river tubing in Iowa, there are plenty of great spots to hit the water! Just don't forget the sun protection!
