Have you ever been to the small Indiana town known as Florence? I wouldn't be surprised if you said no, and more so, I definitely wouldn't be surprised if you hadn't even heard of it until just now. It's a little place, but don't underestimate it - it's actually home to some awesome outdoor attractions as well as an awesome little mom-and-pop place for RV camping in Indiana that everyone ought to check out at least once. This little RV resort in Indiana might just become your new favorite all-season destination! Come see for yourself:
Follow The River RV Resort is definitely named appropriately; it is, after all, nestled right on the banks of the Ohio River.
It's everything you could ever ask for in an RV resort with a little extra on top. Best of all, it's open year-round, so you can show up anytime (as long as there's space).
The sites are spaced out and large, with electric and water at each.
Do keep in mind, though, that water is shut off to sites in the winter, so do plan accordingly. My suggestion is to book well in advance and come out for spring or autumn - it's a little less crowded then compared to the bustle of summer.
You'll find that there are all sorts of goodies and amenities on site, starting with the clubhouse.
Here, you'll find free WiFi and even a mini arcade!
Who says you need to be a kid to enjoy the arcade? Literally nobody.
Personally, I'd probably spend entirely too much time in there, but that's me.
Other awesome amenities include a horseshoe pit, fire pits, a well-stocked fishing lake (catch and release only, please), and more.
There's even a big ol' jumping pillow for the kids, which is quite popular during the warmer months.
Be sure to keep an eye on your little ones, though - the jumping pillow is probably better for older kids. Nevertheless, kids of all ages will find plenty of fun stuff to do at Follow the River.
There's a small pool on the grounds, too, and best of all, it's a saltwater pool, so it feels lovely on the skin and doesn't dry you out like chlorine tends to.
Of course, there are also restrooms, clean showers, and so much more - you'd have to come out and experience it all to get the full scope of options! I strongly recommend booking your site well in advance; bookings open up a year in advance, so you've got plenty of time.
