While I love every season in Idaho, I particularly love the spring. The blooming flowers, greenery, and warmer weather seem to refresh both my mind and body and make it hard for me to stay cooped up inside. That’s why a spring getaway in Idaho is an absolute must. From the panhandle to southern Idaho, there are many delightful places to visit and the following seven vacation rentals are perfect spring getaways for you to consider.
1. Romantic Lakefront Cabin, Sandpoint
Ideal for couples or even a small group of friends, this vacation rental in northern Idaho is the getaway you desire with lakefront views, a private dock, quiet, and close proximity to many attractions. Tucked away in the trees, you’ll feel away from the worries of the world and the large windows let in ample natural light and provide gorgeous views even if the spring weather in Idaho isn’t in your favor.
2. Teton Valley Yurt, Victor
Teton Valley is easily one of the best places to visit in Idaho during the spring. The views are incredible and you are near numerous outdoor activities like Grand Teton National Park and the Ashton to Tetonia Rail Trail. To set up base camp in this corner of the state, book a stay at this yurt in Victor. Comfortably accommodating up to four guests, you’ll enjoy unobstructed views, a small kitchen area, plenty of seating, and so much more. It’s an outdoor experience taken to the next level.
3. Charming Barnhouse, Meridian
You’ll love waking up on a spring day in this barnhouse in Treasure Valley. Located on Windmill Farm, you can drink your morning coffee while watching lambs and cows play outside. Relax in the cozy seating areas and the plush bed and forget about the worries of your life. Even better, you are in close proximity to the city so you can have the best of both worlds during your stay.
4. The Firehouse, Boise
Nestled in Boise’s historic North End is this renovated firehouse vacation rental. This was one of the oldest firehouses in the city and has since been restored to create the most cozy living space (with memories of the fire station spread throughout). Here, you will find three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
5. Grain Bin, Holbrook
You’ll never forget a spring trip to this grain bin in Holbrook. This unique Airbnb is tucked away in the country in southern Idaho and despite its former purpose, you’ll feel right at home. The Grain Bin can comfortably sleep two guests and includes a long list of amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. Plus, Wi-Fi is not available at this vacation rental and cell service is poor so it’s a wonderful place to disconnect for a day or two.
6. The Boat House, Sagle
Lake Pend Oreille is one of our favorite getaway destinations in northern Idaho and it’s even more special when you book a stay at the Boat House. This lakefront Airbnb is right on the water, offering unparalleled views. During your stay, sit on the patio and fish, or just look out and watch fish jump and bald eagles soar. You can even let your worries wash away as you soak in the lakefront hot tub. This home is large enough that it comfortably sleeps up to six guests.
7. A-frame Cabin, Garden Valley
Spring will quickly become your favorite season when you plan a visit to Rora Haus, a gorgeous A-frame cabin tucked away in Garden Valley, just a few minutes away from the small town of Crouch. This is a true mountain getaway with everything you need for an escape with a stocked kitchen, a beautiful living space with wood-burning fireplace, cozy beds, and the most remarkable scenes right out your window.
