There are so many great places for camping in Idaho; we're sure you're aware of many (and you probably keep them close to your hearts). 1. Crown Point Campground - Cascade

Part of Lake Cascade State Park, Crown Point Campground is a dreamy spot located on the eastern shore of Lake Cascade. If you're looking for a campground with great water views, this is it! With 29 tent/RV sites, the campground is the perfect destination for fishing, boating, and sunbathing on the sandy beach.

2. Warm River Campground - Ashton

Located right along Warm River, this campground is surrounded by the beauty of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. Its proximity to the slow-moving river makes it a popular spot for river tubing. Shaded by willow and pine trees, this secret camping spot in Idaho is a true oasis! With single and double-family campgrounds, plus group campgrounds, you'll want to bring all of your friends and family to this tranquil spot.

3. Beauty Creek Campground - Coeur d'Alene

Open seasonally through the summer, Beauty Creek Campground is just a half-mile from beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene. Tucked right along Beauty Creek, the area's scenery is just jaw-dropping! You'll feel like you've fallen into a painting as the sunset lowers behind the wooded hillsides. Boasting 20 spacious campsites, the campground is the perfect place to enjoy some peace and quiet. Additionally, there are several biking and hiking trails near the campground, including the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail.

4. Garfield Bay Campground - Sagle

Escape to Idaho's largest and deepest lake at Garfield Bay Campground near Sagle. Located right along Lake Pend Oreille, activities like swimming, boating, and fishing are all just a short walk away. Garfield Bay is home to 29 RV sites and 15 tent sites, shaded by mature trees along the mountainside. Your lakeside getaway awaits!

5. Falls Campground - Swan Valley

A campground just steps away from a waterfall? Yes, please! Falls Campground can be found next to the Snake River in Swan Valley, Idaho. Shaded by cottonwood trees and surrounded by grassy meadows, the campground itself is a respite from reality. Wildlife is typically abundant and includes eagles, osprey, moose, and deer. Best of all, the wonderful Fall Creek Falls is less than a quarter-mile walk from the campground. Is this not the prefect secluded spot for camping?

6. Ten Mile Campground - Idaho City

Ten Mile Campground is a small campground hiding in a forest of ponderosa pine trees. It may be small, but that's what makes it ideal for a quiet camping trip with just you and Mother Nature. The campground is easily accessed off of Highway 21 and contains 15 campsites. It's also one of just three campgrounds within a few miles of Idaho City, a historic mining town that's definitely worth taking some time to explore.

7. Hot Springs Campground - Garden Valley

For a truly relaxing escape from everyday life, a visit to Hot Springs Campground in Garden Valley will definitely deliver! Home to three group sites, the campground is located just across from the South Fork Payette River. Along the river, you'll even find a natural hot spring soaking pool! The hot spring is easily accessible by taking a staircase down to the river. Open seasonally from May through October, you won't want to delay making a reservation for Hot Springs Campground.

8. Wildhorse Campground - Mackay

Consisting of 13 sites in a breathtaking wooded setting, Wildhorse Campground sure makes an impression. It's a no-reservation campground, but it's definitely worth taking a gamble on for its unbelievable surroundings. Nearby, you'll find natural wonders like Boulder Creek Lake, Waterfall Trail, and Wildhorse Canyon. It's open only from June through September, so start planning your trip to this peaceful Idaho campground!
