This Dry-Docked Boat Is A Unique Place To Stay In The Georgia Countryside

If you've never heard of this small town, it's tucked away in North Georgia and is nicknamed the Granite Capital of the World. Granite production has been an important industry here since the Civil War, and many of the best things to do in Elberton, GA revolve around granite. As soon as you pull up, you'll see this is a vacation rental like no other. The 50-foot house boat has been completely renovated to make it a cozy getaway for up to three guests.

The boat is completely furnished and surprisingly homey, but you'll still see signs of its former life as a boat, like the helm and captain's chair.

There's a kitchenette, living area, television, high-speed internet, and even a massage chair, so you'll feel right at home.

While the upper deck is not currently accessible, the lower deck area is now an adorable porch perfect for hanging out.

There are beds available for three adults, or two adults and two small children.

The Vrbo is only about a half-mile from beautiful Lake Russell, a wonderful destination for fishing or simply relaxing by the water at any time of year.
