You Can Stay in an Enchanting Castle Hotel in Colorado
The Glen Eyrie is an enchanting overnight castle in Colorado Springs near Garden of the Gods. Come experience its 19th-century grandeur and live like royalty.
Did you know you can stay in a castle in Colorado? The Glen Eyrie Castle is a majestic property situated at the base of Pikes Peak, adjacent to the Garden of the Gods. Built in 1871, the sprawling estate was the home of Union General William Jackson Palmer. Today, all seven of its buildings, including the castle itself, offer overnight accommodations that make guests feel like royalty. You’ll never forget your stay in this enchanting overnight castle in Colorado.
You’ll think you’ve stumbled into a scene from a storybook when you first lay eyes on the Glen Eyrie Castle. The building serves as the headquarters for The Navigators, a Christian ministry, and guests are invited to spend the night and experience its splendor firsthand.
With 95 guest rooms spread across seven buildings, Glen Eyrie is like its own little world, far removed from fast-paced modern life. Only 17 of the rooms are located in the castle itself, offering an intimate experience with few distractions. Most rooms are double occupancy, with either a queen or king bed; however, special arrangements can be made by reaching out to the reservations office. The other buildings on the property accommodate larger groups.
Each room is unique, with luxury amenities ranging from private balconies to skylights to elevated four-poster beds. The decor is regal in an Old World sort of way, exactly what you'd expect of a 19th-century mansion. Wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee in your room while admiring panoramic views of Colorado’s signature red rocks, then savor a delicious breakfast. You’ll have access to private hiking trails, and the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center is just 1.5 miles away. This iconic park is heralded as one of the most striking natural wonders in Colorado, so it's the perfect adventure to make your trip even more memorable.
When you're not relaxing in your room, spend time exploring the castle, both inside and out. In addition to the private hiking trails, the grounds also feature a terrace with views of the surrounding landscape. There's plenty of lawn space for outdoor games like cornhole, and hammocks strung up between the trees are perfect for curling up with a good book. An on-site cafe offers the best seasonal lattes, and you can enjoy high tea in the Castle Music Room.
Visit the Glen Eyrie Castle website for more information about the property or to book your stay.
