A Trip To This Majestic Colorado Lodge Will Take You Back In Time
Do you ever wish you could go back in time, when things were simpler? Nowadays, even when you're on vacation, your rest and relaxation are interrupted by email, social media and cell phone distractions. Here's a lodge that provides the perfect escape right back to the 1930s.
Allenspark Lodge has a wonderful history. It was built in the early 1930s by several teenage boys and their shop teacher.
While the property has changed quite a bit over time, the original lodge still stands.
The current owners purchased it in December of 1997, and have been welcoming guests into their home ever since.
The lodge is located at 184 Bus Rte Co Highway 7, Allenspark, CO.
You'll love this cozy lodge from the moment you walk in the door.
The entire main level of the lodge is set up for guests to enjoy. Sit and play a game of chess, read a book from the library, or chat with friends.
The Great Room offers a roaring fire during winter months to keep you warm and cozy after a day of playing in the snow.
The dining room seats 28, and you'll love the huge, homemade family-style breakfast that's served here every morning.
The best part about this lodge? You'll be truly able to disconnect from the digital world and enjoy a relaxing stay.
There's a landline telephone here, because most cellphones don't get service. You won't find computers or televisions here, either.
The lodge offers 17 rooms, each with cozy beds covered in quilts.
Some of the rooms offer private baths; others share a bathroom in the hall.
Located just two miles from Rocky Mountain National Park, this lodge is surrounded by natural beauty.
