Although Mount Magazine takes the award for highest point in all of Arkansas, it's certainly not the only high elevation camping experience in the state. The Erwin Estate is situated on the southernmost highest altitude point in Arkansas. Let's pitch a tent on the lookout tower for a one-of-a-kind camping trip.
The High Point at Erwin Estate may be one of the most unique camping opportunities in the state.
It's located at 198 Mallard Lane in Malvern.
The estate is home to the Erwins. They've lived there for over 40 years.
The scenic estate is sprawled out on 250 acres in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains.
You can say hi to the Black Angus cattle and Dorper Sheep grazing in the pasture during your visit.
If the perfect view wasn't enough, you can also catch a bass at their natural spring pond.
There's also wildlife viewing, hiking, mineral exploration (the area's rich in novaculite and quartz), and endless photo opportunities.
It'll be hard not to wake up in high spirits. The hill sits at 592-ft. high.
Feel like the only couple in the world while drinking in the view.
Or, take a memorable family vacation.
You won't be too far away from all the attractions at Hot Springs. It's just a short 15-minute drive.
A night or two at the Erwin Estate High Point needs to be on your camping bucket list this year.
The site is $100/night. To book your stay, visit the HipCamp website right here.
