Dream Spring Break in Alabama: Where I’d Go if Money Was No Object

Spring break in Alabama is more than just Gulf Coast beaches. How about taking a ride on the Flying Carpet?

Spring break in Alabama typically means heading down to the Gulf. While I certainly do enjoy Alabama’s 60 miles of coastline, I’d much prefer to spend my spring break in a quieter setting. If money weren’t an object, here's where I'd be headed.

Enter: this epic Airbnb in Alabama. Buckle up, because this might just be the most unique Airbnb in the entire state!

Cullman is a city in Alabama with a strong German heritage, and you’d never expect to find this Moroccan-themed Airbnb here. Welcome to The Flying Carpet! If the grand exterior wasn't enough to draw you in, you'll certainly be hooked the moment you step inside. The design of this Alabama Airbnb is unmatched! It makes me want to redesign my entire house.

This idyllic Airbnb is exactly what I meant when I said I wanted to spend my spring break in a quieter setting. The treehouse is nestled snugly in a forested setting, with plenty of songbirds in earshot. I'd use the entire week to sit in that chair and read all day. Goals!

Since money is no object in this hypothetical, luxury is the name of the game—I’m treating myself. The attention to detail and mesmerizing interior design in this Airbnb in Alabama are just incredible. I'm a big fan of this deep-soak tub.

Besides the deep-soak bathtub, the downstairs patio might be my favorite part of the house. Spring in Alabama is the ideal time of year to enjoy evenings outdoors (before that Alabama heat kicks in), and this spot is pure perfection.

Should you wish to leave this oasis, there's always something going on in Cullman to look forward to: festivals, farmers markets, and even an awesome Christkindlmarkt market (if you want to save this one for a winter getaway!) Of course, the private hot tub is also a nice touch. I love that you can easily see the television, so popping on a movie or TV show is easy! This is where you'd find me for 80% of the trip.

The Flying Carpet also offers several packages to make your stay extra special, including romance packages, prepped grill dinner packages, and even an in-house massage option. Guests can choose a package if they wish or take the Airbnb as is. The owners have made sure to treat each guest as a VIP and can cater to just about any request.

Flip through the photos of this Airbnb in Alabama—you’ll want to book a stay right away. And if you're looking for more things to do in the area (if you even want to leave this gorgeous stay), be sure to check out our itinerary planner for nearby recommendations!
