Tucked away in Isle of Wight County, Virginia awaits one of the most historic buildings in the region: St. Luke's Historic Church.

There is a bit of controversy as to the exact date of the church's construction. Locals firmly believe the year was 1632 while architects point to 1682. Either way, the age is undoubtedly impressive.

Sometimes referred to as the "Old Brick Church," St. Luke's is built in what's known as an Artisan Mannerism style.

Architecture enthusiasts will also note that the church is embellished with many Gothic features.

Some of these details are evident in the windows, with their Y-tracery windows as illustrated below.
