There are great people everywhere, but Vermonters just have that indefinable, je ne sais quoi that sets them apart. Maybe I’m biased, but people from Vermont really know how to live a married life. So, here are the 14 best reasons you should marry a Vermonter and some qualities all Vermonters have that many find desirable:

1. Spectacular wedding settings.

A wedding ceremony might not make or break a marriage, but it certainly helps to get off on the right foot! Or should I say, the right ski?

2. Vermonters know that the little things go a long way.

Nothing says "I love you" like having your car shoveled off and warmed up for you when it’s -10 degrees.

3. They’re smart.

Living in Vermont, you know that grades matter – both in school and with maple syrup.

4. They're handy.

Vermonters can light a campfire, change a flat tire, and jump-start a car. Handiness is just in our genes.

5. Easy holidays.

It’s not too hard to make the rounds to see your in-laws during the holidays because they probably live very close by.

6. Stack that!

They know how to stack wood properly. This may not seem important now, but come winter you’ll undoubtedly appreciate it. They can also run a chainsaw and a wood splitter without losing a finger… most of the time.
