Bart the Bear was no small bear. He weighed more than 1,500 pounds, and when standing on his back legs, he was more than 9.5 feet tall.

Bart was born in the Baltimore Zoo in 1977. He eventually came to Doug and Lynne Seus who trained Bart and became his family.
