We learn from where we come from, and here in Ohio, we learn a lot. From practical advice to the clichés of life, living in our state has certainly taught us a thing or two. Here are 13 important life lessons you'll get from living in Ohio. How many can you relate to?

1. Pack/prepare/dress for ALL weather contingencies.

You will probably need an umbrella, sunscreen and sweater all in one day because here in Ohio we know that the weather forecast simply cannot keep up with our weather whimsy state and this knowledge is programmed in us no matter what town, state or country we're actually in at the time.

2. Hard work and consistency really pay off. For proof of this, simply visit your favorite Buckeye State farmers market.

3. Sometimes all you need is a good, long drive for the sake of a good, long drive.

4. Only take your friends/family on the roller coasters that you know without a doubt they can handle.

Unless the actual goal is to terrify them. Then, by all means, take your pick of them here.

5. Loyal. Always be loyal.

Bengals fans: we love you!

6. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer... UNLESS they're Michigan fans.

Then they should be no where near you. Ever. There are no exceptions here.

7. There's no use crying over a crater-sized pothole. Life happens.
