Here Are 10 Things Everyone In Buffalo Absolutely Loves

We've all heard about "Buffalove" – but what exactly is it that Buffalonians adore about our city? While the food and sports definitely stand out among the crowd, there are several small things that take up a huge place in our 716-loving hearts. Here are ten things that everyone in Buffalo absolutely loves, in no particular order.

1. Loganberry

What even is a loganberry? Most of us don't really know, and guess what... we don't care, either. The important thing is that it tastes delicious and takes us back to our childhoods in a single sip.

2. Public art

As a city with plenty of history, we sure know how to stay current! Our public art scene is on the rise, thanks largely in part to initiatives by the Albright-Knox. The next time you're in the city, take a few minutes to look around and don't forget to share your photos on Instagram! (We're over there now, by the way – find us @onlyinbuffalo!)

3. Canalside

Canalside is everything we never knew we always wanted along our waterfront. Great restaurants and vendors, tons of activities, and plentiful people-watching – it's a win, win, win!

4. Architecture

It might sound boring to some, but everyone in Buffalo absolutely loves our city's architecture. We have several sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places and Historic Landmarks, and we're darn proud of it! Take this Frank Lloyd Wright gem as just one of many examples of our amazing architectural offerings.

5. Food

If there's one way straight to a Buffalonian's heart, it's food. Pizza logs, pizza, wings, beef on weck, the list goes on and on. We LOVE our food here in Buffalo, and no one else does it better.

6. Bills Sundays

Win or lose, there's nothing quite like watching a Bills game on a crisp autumn Sunday. Whether you choose to tailgate at "The Cap" or sport your zubaz on the couch, almost everyone in Buffalo absolutely loves Bills Sundays!

7. $5 Concerts

Remember when we mentioned our love for Canalside? This is another great reason why it holds such a special place in our hearts. Everyone loves live music, and $5 concerts during the summer months? Sign us up!

6. Farmers markets

We try to maximize our weekends here in Buffalo, especially when the weather cooperates with our plans, which is probably why we love flocking to our local farmers markets. Set aside some time on your Saturdays and Sundays to wander your local farmers market hand-in-hand and pick up fresh, local ingredients.

9. New Era caps

We liked New Era before it was cool, and if you're a Buffalonian, you probably at least know someone with an enviable collection of caps. Flat brim, snapback, or fitted – people in Buffalo absolutely love this local brand!

10. Shopping local

Speaking of local... another thing everyone in Buffalo absolutely loves is supporting local small businesses. With so many talented artisans in the 716, it's not hard to show our support!
