3 Magical New Hampshire Towns Where It’s Christmas All Year Round
Looking to get into the holiday spirit early this year? You can celebrate Christmas all year long in these magical NH towns.
From January to November, I look forward to the day after Thanksgiving. After months of waiting, it is finally time to venture up into my attic and pull out my stacks of holiday boxes packed with childhood ornaments, miniature reindeer, and an ever-growing collection of nutcrackers. Next comes the tree, the stockings, and all of the red and green twinkly lights. These treasured items will transform my home into a festive winter village until the start of the new year, when they sadly get packed away again until the next holiday season.
While we celebrate Christmas for only one month in my house, there is a special region of New Hampshire not far from home where I can revel in the holiday spirit even in the off-season. When I am in need of a little Christmas magic, all I need to do is head north to these White Mountain towns, and I’m happily breaking out in festive carols for days!
1. Jefferson, New Hampshire
An ultimate holiday adventure can be experienced at Santa’s Village in Jefferson. This magical Christmas-themed amusement park has been putting smiles on visitors' faces for decades. I still have photos of me sitting here with Santa from when I was a kid. The park features a variety of festive rides, games, shopping, and entertainment. You can even feed the resident reindeer during your visit. While summer is the prime season for visitors, the village is also open on weekends from October to December, when occasional dustings of snow turn it into a true winter wonderland of fun.
2. Jackson, New Hampshire

Head over to Blitzen Way in Jackson, and you will find a cozy inn and spa that truly embodies the joy of the holidays. The idyllic Christmas Farm Inn & Spa property was originally given as a Christmas gift (hence the name), and it is a lovely spot to vacation all year long. While the inn is not a holiday-themed hotel per se, the spirit of the season shines brightly here year-round. The quaint inn features a luxurious spa, a fantastic restaurant, and several types of accommodations. For an utterly relaxing stay, I suggest booking one of the carriage house jacuzzi suites. Each room is cleverly named after the gifts in the “Twelve Days of Christmas” carol.
3. North Conway, New Hampshire

North Conway shines bright during the Christmas season with festive events such as holiday train rides and Christmas tree festivals. But there is also a place in town where you can experience a little bit of holiday magic 12 months a year. The Christmas Loft is a massive holiday store that features everything from unique ornaments to Christmas collectibles to beautiful music boxes. Even if you don’t purchase a snowglobe or a fabriché Santa, it is worth a stop here just to walk through the life-sized animated Christmas village. The Christmas Loft has an additional store in North Woodstock and a Halloween-themed store in North Conway.
