Here Are 10 Cities Participating In Missouri’s Tax-Free Weekend That You’ll Want To Visit

Missouri offers a sales tax holiday the first weekend in August for back-to-school purchases, with several cities participating.

Missouri state law gives families a sales tax holiday the first weekend in August. This weekend, you can hit the stores to take advantage of the tax break on back-to-school purchases, such as clothing, school supplies, computers, and other items as defined by the statute. However, the Missouri Department of Revenue code states, "local jurisdictions can choose to not participate in the holiday if they enact an ordinance to not participate and notify the department 45 days prior to the sales tax holiday." So, to ensure you’re getting the tax break, here are some of the cities that are participating in the tax-free weekend in Missouri.
